Charlie Henrich named General Manager of ABC 6 in Providence

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – Standard Media Group LLC is pleased to announce the appointment of Charles Henrich, Jr. as General Manager/Director of Sales for WLNE-TV ABC 6 in Providence, Rhode Island.

Henrich is an industry veteran who was previously Vice President of Operations for Newport Television. He has also served as General Manager at several television stations including KCTV in Kansas City, Missouri, WHNS-TV in Greeneville, South Carolina, and WFTX in Fort Myers, Florida. In 2021, Henrich earned a spot on RBR+TVBR’s annual Top Local TV Leaders list. He joined Standard Media in 2023 as Director of Sales for WLNE.

In reflecting upon his appointment as General Manager Heinrich said, “I’m so proud to be a member of the WLNE team, and I am looking forward to working with everyone at ABC 6 in this expanded role. Together we will build on the excellent work that is already underway in Providence. “

Charlie’s roots in Providence run deep; his father is a 1964 graduate of Brown University. Charlie graduated from The University of Minnesota in 1991.
